JJ Funck (°2006, New Orleans, United States) is an artist who mainly works with photography.  By exploring the concept of landscape in a nostalgic way, moments are depicted that give emotional happiness while still retaining the objective aspect of everyday life.
By emphasizing aesthetics, he makes work that deals with the objective documentation of nature, yet people can still derive emotions, such as awe, & happiness without all of the ambiguity. The work tries to express this with the help of depictions of wildlife, & nature, in general, using documentation technology, such as the digital camera. Most nature photographers do grand landscapes, or go macro with flowers, and bugs. However, he feels that they neglect the midtone, and that's what he's all about. He primarily works with macro, and the midtone trying to capture the innate detail of his subjects, wheather it be trees, flower, body's of water, or anything else. 
At times, disconcerting beauty emerges. The inherent visual seductiveness, along with the conciseness of the exhibitions, further enhances the caliber of emotions within the perceiver.
